Why Christian Education?

A Christian philosophy of education is founded on the biblical truth that all that can be discovered, studied, fathomed, created, adorned, or enjoyed existed first in the mind of God, is sustained by Christ’s power, and is revealed through the Holy Spirit’s presence.

God's Word is the moral authority that informs all of our intellectual, spiritual, social, and physical pursuits. Thus, true education of the person can only occur when all facets are learning (all disciplines) are rooted in and viewed through the lens of God’s Word.

  • Christian education is rooted in the eternal Word of God. "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His precepts have good understanding." Psalm 111:10

  • The Christian world view is reflected in every activity of the school. "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus." Colossians 3:17

  • Children are taught by people who are committed to the Lord and Biblical education and who model Christian behavior. "These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." Deuteronomy 6: 6-7

  • Prayer is an integral part of every school day. "Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18

  • Students learn a pattern for life built on the certainty of God’s Word. "Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it." Proverbs 22:6

  • The school is made up of children from Christian homes who are there because their parents support Biblical values. "As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend." Proverbs 27:17
